Beethoven’s “Eroica” – CANCELLED

Rune Bergmann, conductor
Behzod Abduraimov, piano

Following directives from the CDC regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra is working with local government to limit the impact of the virus in our community. Because the health and well-being of HSO audiences and musicians is of paramount importance, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel all concerts through the end of April.  These performances will not be rescheduled.

For many decades, Hawai’i and its HSO musicians have enjoyed a great and mutually beneficial relationship.  We pledge to continue to provide our community with great music, now and in the future:

Follow the HSO on Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/HawaiiSymphony/ and our musicians on Instagram@hsomusicians to enjoy opportunities to connect with our orchestra digitally during this time of social distancing.

How Can I Help?

Many patrons have asked how they can help during these challenging times.  We suggest:

Allowing us to recognize the value of your concert tickets as an annual fund donation, as many patrons – and 100% of the HSO’s Board of Directors – have done.  Unlike a ticket purchase, a donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.  Your gift will also ensure the HSO’s financial strength so we may resume live orchestral performances just as soon as possible.  When you donate your tickets, you will receive a single-use pass to enjoy our new HSO Donor Lounge, premiering at select 2020-21 concerts.

Subscribing to the 20-21 season.  Details of the HSO’s 20-21 season are available online [http://hawaiisymphonyorchestra.org/2020-2021-halekulani-masterworks/], and there are several ways to subscribe.  Because of the inconvenience caused by this disruption in the schedule, you can apply the value of your cancelled concert tickets as a discount on the price of a new subscription.

Requesting a voucher that may be redeemed for tickets to any remaining 2019-20 season concert or select concerts during the 20-21 season.  When you choose this option, and as soon as the upcoming concert schedule is clear, we will send you a voucher that can be redeemed for tickets to future concerts.

Supporting the Annual Fund. Our commitment to the community is as strong as ever and while these concert cancellations are in place, your HSO musicians are keeping music present in the lives of young people throughout Hawaii by offering lessons and instruction via video conference to engage and inspire the next generation of musicians.  Your donation today supports these lessons and all the other ways will continue to provide an impact once normal activities resume. Other Options: For all other ticketing options, email the patron services office at tickets@hawaiisymphonyorchestra. Please be aware that we are responding to a high volume of emails and calls and your inquiry may take longer than normal to answer. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
