Help Enrich the Artistic and Cultural Fabric of Hawaii

We began this season of concerts with the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra in a mood best described as “cautious optimism.”  Excited about what promised to be a stellar season, studded with world-class soloists and conductors, and with an orchestra continuing to raise the bar on its own standards of excellence, we nonetheless felt the nervous excitement that goes with the early days of any start-up company…which is what, by any measure, we still are.

Now, as we approach the final concert of the 2017-18 season we’re busily finalizing plans for 2018-19, happy in the knowledge that so many of our aspirations have been met, and that our lofty ambitions for the HSO – to have it recognized as one of the premier regional symphony orchestras in the country, and to have it become an important ambassador for Hawaii throughout the world – are closer to realization now than they have ever been.

We were so grateful to you and hope you take the proper satisfaction in having played an important part in the HSO’s development since then. We hope you have continued to personally experience the ever-expanding range of the HSO’s spectacular offerings, and that you have taken pride in our musicians’ many other invaluable contributions to the cultural well-being of our community, through their work in our schools, studios, and at many musical enterprises throughout our state.  Every time an HSO musician teaches or performs, please know that you have helped make it possible.

And as we approach the celebratory conclusion of this season, and make ready for joyful and profound musical experiences yet to come, please take a moment to join with us again. You must know how important your support is to us, and there are now multiple ways you can continue it. You can make a one-time or recurring gift online, you can simply mail a check, or best of all, you can give us a call at (808) 946-8742 and we will happily process your donation by credit card.

However you choose to do it, we are most grateful (and relieved!) that you are part of the symphony ohana, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
