Education and Outreach 2018-2019

Sponsored by Alexander & Baldwin, Central Pacific Bank Foundation, Atherton Family Foundation, and Cooke Foundation, the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra is currently accepting requests for education performance visits from elementary, middle, high school, colleges, and senior residences. All performances are at no cost to the host and are intended to educate, entertain and inspire.

“As part of our mission to delight and educate audiences of all ages and backgrounds, the HSO is thrilled to be able to begin providing symphony ensemble visits to schools again,” said HSO Executive Director Jonathan Parrish. “With the support of the Central Pacific Bank Foundation and Alexander & Baldwin, we are again able to provide these informative and entertaining performances.”

A Rich History

The HSO has a long, rich history of educating Hawaii’s youth. Since the mid-1900s, the orchestra has performed in free educational concerts in McKinley Auditorium and the Blaisdell Concert Hall, where thousands of students experienced a live symphony orchestra for the first time.
